2025 Right Here, Right Now Global Climate Summit

Advancing the conversation around climate change and human rights.

Climate change is a human rights crisis.

On 5th June 2025 starting at 8.30am, the University of Nairobi among other world leading universities will be hosting a global summit on climate change and human rights in partnership with UN Human Rights, the Right Here, Right Now Global Climate Alliance, the International Universities Climate Alliance and other co-host universities across the world.

The University of Nairobi, in partnership with the IHE-Delft as the project lead, and other collaborators (Kenya Water Institute – KEWI; Kenya Marine and Fisheries Research Institute – KMFRI), is implementing a project entitled “GroundWater SuStainable and Equitable development uNder Constraints of Ecosystem conservation and saltwater intrusion prevention in large deltas (abbreviated GWS-SENCE).

THURSDAY 13, AUGUST 2026: ICCA ONLINE STUDENT PRESENTATIONS - MSC AND PHD-- 2:30pm to 4:30pm

The Department wishes to inform staff, students, and interested stakeholders that a proposal presentation session for postgraduate students has been scheduled for Thursday, 6 August 2026.

The session forms part of the academic research review process and will provide students with an opportunity to present and defend their research proposals before the relevant academic panel.
