POSTGRADUATE SHORTCOURSE ON ADAPTATION PATHWAYS: A NOVEL APPROACH TO CLIMATE CHANGE PLANNING UNDER UNCERTAINTY

Adaptation Pathways Short Course (4–8 May 2026) is a highly interactive training hosted by the Institute for Climate Change & Adaptation (University of Nairobi). It focuses on a flexible, forward-looking approach to climate change planning under uncertainty.

The course is designed for students, researchers, and practitioners and combines:

  • Morning lectures on topics like risk assessment, stakeholder engagement, climate scenarios, and adaptation pathways
  • Afternoon practical sessions where participants apply these concepts to real case studies

By the end, participants will be able to design and present their own adaptation pathways plans, understand stakeholder roles, and apply climate scenarios in decision-making.

Participants who attend at least 85% of sessions and complete a poster presentation receive a certificate.
