WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY VISIT TO THE 1ST JOINT SCIENTIFIC CONFERENCE AT THE NATIONAL MUSEUM

On Wednesday 5th June, 2024, Siâna, Nyokabi, Michele and Maya attended Kenya's first Joint Scientific Conference. It was an important day as we were also commemorating World Environment Day.
The girls attended a lecture by a leading geologist, Prof. Daniel Olago who taught that Kenya's biodiversity is very important for the economic success of Kenya. They also learnt that some lakes in modern Kenya were formed over 780,000 years ago and that some lakes will eventually disappear due to climate change and normal tectonic activity!
